Memory is RAM!

Christmas saw the end of item #26 (Upgrade wife's laptop to 4GB) on my 101 in 1001 list.  It was pretty funny when she opened the present.  "Thanks, honey!... what is it?".  I explained that it would make her computer faster, particulary when she has to use Windows in a VM.  Ironically (but not surprisingly) her biggest complaint since moving to the Mac has been the performance of Windows.  She still uses it for a few Windows-only apps and the 2GB in her MacBook Pro was a little underpowered for the task.  So, I upgraded her to 4GB of RAM and bumped the VM up to 1GB RAM.  Happy wife = happy life.
